Stabbing in New Jersey

December 16, 2013 Camden New Jersey (Camden County Prosecutor Office of New Jersey) — Authorities have released surveillance video showing the man they say stabbed another to death early Saturday morning.

Timothy Appling, 57, of Camden was stabbed during a robbery attempt at 2:48 a.m., near the intersection of Broadway and Atlantic Avenue, investigators said.

He died from his wounds at Cooper University Hospital at 8:55 a.m.

The suspect is the man in the lighter colored Carhart jacket coming from the lower right of the screen. Appling is wearing the darker clothing and approaches from the top of the screen.

Several cars were passing by as Appling was being attacked. They are asking the drivers to tell what they saw. They also stress that even the smallest bit of information can be critical in identifying the attacker.
