December 21, 2013 Oakland California (CCI) —
Three students were arrested after a fight broke out Thursday afternoon in front of Oakland High School.
Police responded to 1023 MacArthur Blvd. around 4:15 p.m. for reports of a fight between two female students, according to police.
When an Oakland Public Schools sergeant tried to break up the fight, one of the girls brandished a stun gun at the officer.
As he was detaining the student, she passed the stun gun off to a male student. Two officers tried to detain the student, but the teen struggled and help was called in.
The crowd eventually dispersed, and a 17-year-old girl and a 16-year-old boy, both Oakland High students and an 18-year-old man, were arrested for ensuing melee.
One officer was shoved during the chaos, but he was not injured.
